Celebrate the joy of reading books during this day-long event - Books By The Banks: Cincinnati USA Book Festival, October 17, 10:00am - 4:00pm.

More than 85 local & national authors will be participating in the 3rd annual Books by the Banks: Cincinnati USA Book Festival to be held at the Duke Energy Convention Center on Saturday, October 17 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (entrance at corner of 5th & Elm streets).

Meet the authors and purchase signed copies of their books covering a broad range of genre (including fiction, history & local history, sports, non-fiction, art, juvenile & teen literature, cooking & cookbooks, local travel, and more).

Enjoy author panel discussions on interesting topics. Choose from 15 different panel discussions including cooking demos. Featured authors include: Jennifer Weiner, Garth Stein, Barbara Bradley Hagerty, Thane Maynard, Sharon Draper, Jeannette Walls, Will Hillenbrand, and many others.

There's something for everyone! Enjoy family-fun activities in the Target Kids' Corner (costumed storybook characters, book-related crafts for kids, music, and readings from children's authors in Target's Big Red Chair).

Cooking Up a Good Romance

Romance writers Diane Castell, Rosemary Laurey, Lori Foster, and LuAnn McClain lead an entertaining and energetic panel discussion at the 2007 Books by the Banks Festival. What is your life like when you are a busy author? What lessons have they learned that they can share with aspiring writers? Where do they get ideas for characters? How did they get started? The authors also share information about the collaborations they do as fund raisers for causes dear to them.
