A Lion in the House takes an unprecedented look at the cancer journeys of five young people and their families over a six-year period. Award-winning filmmakers Steven Bognar and Julia Reichert bring audiences face to face with the uncertainty of the entire cancer experience and its rippling effects on family, community and professional caregivers.

Independent Lens, and CET has offered
community outreach for the program for two years. CET received a grant to develop outreach to the community surrounding the program. The grant is funded jointly by the Independent Television Service (ITVS) and the Lance Armstrong Foundation, and is part of a national community engagement campaign led by ITVS, with support from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
