Joe Nuxhall, My Life: Baseball and Beyond
In early 2005, CET recorded a series of interviews with the longtime voice of the Cincinnati Reds, Joe Nuxhall. This is the first discussion he had with WCPO Anchor, Dennis Janson.
Joe discusses his days growing up in Hamilton, OH and the strong influence of his father and family. The first notice of his ability was by the scouts who had come to see his father play. That first game, as a 15-year-old, was Joe pitching for the Cincinnati Reds against the St. Louis Cardinals and the great Stan Musial.
