WVXU's Katie Orr interviews Dr. Velissarios Karacostas, Assistant Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Director of Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison Services at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, and Dr. William Demeo, Educational Psychologist at Cincinnati Public Schools. Their conversation gives parents and teachers an overview of depression in children and how it affects them at home and at school. The doctors also discuss community and school resources that will assist parents and teachers in meeting the needs of youths with depression.
