International Year of Astronomy
Dean Regas, Outreach Astronomer at the Cincinnati Observatory, talks with 91.7WVXU's Ann Thompson about the International Year of Astronomy. Celebrating the 400 years since Galileo first looked through a telescope, 135 countries will be promoting astronomy in 2009 with thousands of events. Cincinnati Observatory Center will be participating in an international webcast, holding classes on how to use a telescope, and hosting some sidewalk astronomy experiences as well as making free telescopes available for schools.
