ballet tech cincinnati presents Myth



ballet tech cincinnati will present the world premiere of the Leaping for Literacy production, Myth, which brings the epic, ancient myths from a variety of cultures to life, including Roman, Greek, Norse, Indian, Native American, South American, African, Chinese, and others in a fun, family-friendly show that encourages families to read together. Producing Artistic Director, Marvel Gentry Davis, and choreographer, Kasib Hasan, talk with Amanda Carnes about the upcoming production.

Local choreographers who will collaborate on the project include ballet tech cincinnati Artistic Associate J. Karin Bond-Williams and Principal Choreographer Kasib Hasan, East Indian dance choreographer Ketki Modi, former Cincinnati Ballet Company Senior Soloist Jay Goodlett and Peruvian dance choreographer Doni Jesson, Artistic Director of Danza Contigo Peru. The collaboration with Danza Contigo Peru will feature many of its company dancers in the show. Cincinnati Ballet Company is another collaborator in the production.

Myth will be performed at the Aronoff Center on April 24 & 25. It will also be performed at the Cincinnati Ballet Company Kaplan Theatre on May 3. For all the details of the production go to ballet tech's website.
