Cincinnati has a long and storied history of high school football.
Starting with the first shadowy accounts of football games from
the mid-1880s, Cincinnati has been a hotbed of high school football
fervor to this day. Fans across Southwest Ohio have fondly recalled
their favorite players and coaches years after they left the playing
field or bragged about how their team beat their arch-rival in a game
played decades ago.
A new book has been published that will take you back to the field.
Schoolboy Legends: A hundred years of Cincinnati's most storied high
school football players, a creation of author Lonnie Wheeler,
co-author John Baskin and researcher Michael O'Bryant, has been published by
Orange Frazer Press.
