Ohio Governor Ted Strickland with Ohio schoolchildren for his Conversation on Education CET aired Ohio Governor Ted Strickland's Conversation on Education on Monday, July 28, from 4:30–6pm. The conversation, which centered on specific ways to improve public education in Ohio, was held live at CET. Parents, educators, administrators, business people and others from around the Greater Cincinnati area attended to discuss the issue and offer their ideas on improving education.

The governor held a total of 12 conversations, one in each of the state's regions. The first round of conversations focused on the six principles of education reform he cited in his State of the State Address. Those attending the discussions are educators, parents, individuals involved with local business, and community members invited by the governor's office. Audience members at these conversations offer suggestions for the education system and ask the governor questions about the future of public schools.

The second round of conversations on education began in late November. In these, the Governor is focusing on how we in Ohio can fund a world-class education system.
