Talbert House is a nonprofit network of social services that annually helps nearly 24,000 local men, women and children to overcome adversity and become healthy and productive citizens. Focusing on community corrections, mental health, substance abuse and welfare-to-work issues, the Talbert House assesses, treats and reintegrates those Greater Cincinnatians who are in need of such assistance.
One of the services that the Talbert House provides is the Fatherhood Project. The Fatherhood Project assists men in their efforts to become responsible, committed and nurturing fathers. The components of the program include Nurturing Fathers Classes, One-on-One Coaching, Fellowship Support Meetings, Father & Child Activities, Employment Assistance, Legal Assistance and Housing Search Assistance.
On Thursday, June 3 from noon to 1:30 p.m., the Talbert House will host the 2010 Fatherhood Celebration event at The Millennium Hotel in Downtown Cincinnati. During this event, the fathers who have participated in the program will be recognized for their achievement.
