Cincinnati Opera presents Exploring Wagner
Cincinnati Opera presents ''Exploring Wagner'', part of their Opera Rap series, featuring Speight Jenkins, General Director of Seattle Opera. The compositions of Richard Wagner have generated an enthusiastic following around the world, and under the leadership of General Director Speight Jenkins, Seattle Opera has become a major artistic center for Wagner's music. The company has produced all ten of the composer's major operas -- including two very different productions of his epic Ring cycle. To accompany Cincinnati Opera's production of Wagner's Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg in June, Jenkins discusses the work of this storied artist.
