CET offers non-paid internships and volunteer opportunities that provide students or recent
graduates with opportunities to work with CET staff in the following departments:
- Production - Assist Producers, Directors or Production crew with
creative and technical duties. May include content development, scripts, funding and budgets,
research, audio, lighting, camera, editing, and set design and construction.
- Operations –Assist with master control operations during evening or
weekend hours. Prepare catalogue and inventory of CET's archival tape library.
- Content - Assist Content Managers with research and program segment
development for CETconnect.org.
Assist the New Media department with development of materials
and maintenance of CET's websites.
- Education – Assist Learning Services Project Managers with the creation and distribution
of information and materials used by educators in the classroom.
- Administration and Development – Assist the executive staff with projects that support
the day-to-day operations of CET.
Assist the Fundraising Depatment with event planning and execution of
projects for CET's KidsClub and membership activities, Action Auction, or CET's Major Donor program.
- Public Relations and Communications – Assist with the coordination of CET's interaction
with the public on air and in other media. Help prepare and disseminate statements and published items on behalf
of CET to promote outreach of content and services to the community. This may include graphics and photography;
and requires strong writing, creative and visual arts skills.
- Administrative Support – Assist with the day-to-day activities that
support each department at CET. This includes office operations and building management.
While internships at CET are non-paid positions, students can often receive class credit for work performed.
