CET is accepting applications for:


ASSISTANT, NEW MEDIA

CETconnect is the nation’s first community-based on-demand public media website. With over 1000 videos available online, CETconnect helps bring Cincinnati to the world with rich, high-quality video content: features in topics ranging from business, current affairs and art to history, science and kids and families. The content is unique to CETconnect and updated daily so that there's always something new to watch.

In order to redesign CETconnect to include new technologies, CET is hiring someone to assist with the current site and, when necessary, the transition to the new website. This position has the potential to evolve into a full-time position with CET's New Media department.

Responsible to: Producer, New Media
   
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred, or related professional Internet experience. Demonstrated experience with HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, Javascript, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Above average grammar and communications skills required. Familiarity with a variety of new media; ability to work in a team-based, collaborative environment; experience with Windows platform.

   
Principal Duties:
  • Update CETconnect pages as needed.
  • Collate and edit information, write and edit content, and prepare images to accompany that content, for CETconnect.org and other CET websites.
  • Review, spell-check, error check all web content prior to and after release, to maintain high level of quality of the pages, supplementing or adding data as needed.
  • Attend Content Meetings, work with Content Managers and update supporting materials for CETconnect.org.
  • Upload and check videos, and update database content for CETconnect.
  • Prepare HTML and text versions of CET Connections and other e-newsletters, and import these materials into the listserv software.
  • Assist with the generation of statistical analysis and reports as needed.
