Public Media Connect’s Two Auctions in April!

Public Media Connect, ThinkTV and CET, will be hosting our two biggest annual fundraising events next month – the GreatTVAuction and the CET Action Auction. These live broadcast auctions give the community an opportunity to get a great deal on awesome items while supporting their local PBS station! Here’s a bit more about each event:

 

GreatTVAuction

The GreatTVAuction, which is run out of our ThinkTV studio in Dayton, airs on ThinkTV16 (starting at 6pm) and ThinkTV14 (joins the show in progress at 9pm). The event is in its 41st year and will be broadcast from Monday, April 3, through Saturday, April 8.

We are still collecting auction items for the GreatTVAuction from businesses and individuals. We’ll take any new merchandise item or gift card that will do well on the auction block! We’re particularly focusing on restaurant gift cards and certificates for services. CET Action Auction

The CET Action Auction in Cincinnati is celebrating its 50th annivesary this year! The broadcast, which starts at 5:30pm during the week and 3pm on Saturday, will be from Tuesday, April 25, to Saturday, April 29, on CET. In honor of the 50th anniversary, we are asking people to submit their stories about the auction and we’re honoring Barbara Kellar, a volunteer who has been with the auction since its inception.

The events staff at CET is actively looking for auction donations from individuals and businesses across Greater Cincinnati, especially event tickets, experiences, gift certificates and gift cards.
