Foundations, supporters help CET, ThinkTV with essential upgrade


In the decade since Public Media Connect (CET and ThinkTV) started broadcasting digitally, we’ve been able to stay in the forefront. CET was the first PBS station to broadcast HD and the first to have a 24-hour arts channel and now, between the two stations, we reach more than 2 million monthly viewers on 13 channels.


As digital technology and broadcasting equipment continues to improve, PMC is grateful to a variety of supporters and foundations that have come forward to help us upgrade our 13-year-old, and, in many cases, non-supported systems.


Public Media Connect would like to thank The Helen G., Henry F., & Louise Dornette Foundation, Fifth Third Bank Trustee, for providing a $100,000 challenge grant to help make this project possible. The $400,000 upgrade to the Public Media Connect equipment will mean that CET and ThinkTV can offer reliable, uninterrupted and efficient services while archiving local, regional and national programming on-air and online.
