Vote ’18: The Hamilton County Judicial Candidates

Tuesday, November 6, is Election Day, the chance for citizens to register their desires about who leads the government.  Data shows that 30 percent of people who vote for what is called the “top of the ticket”—the races for Governor, Senator and Member of Congress—do not vote for judges at the bottom of the ticket.

When asked why, 63 percent say they don’t know enough about the candidates. In Hamilton County this year, there are eight judicial races, and for the first time in years, all those races are contested. Vote ’18: The Hamilton County Judicial Candidates is designed to help address that gap in knowledge about judges.

Dan Hurley of WVXU hosts the show, which features three panelists:

Elizabeth Brown
Co-President
League of Women Voters/Cincinnati Area

Kelly Mulloy Myers
President
Cincinnati Bar Association

John J. Williams
Past President
Cincinnati Bar Association

Vote ’18: The Hamilton County Judicial Candidates is being presented in partnership with WVXU, Cincinnati’s Public Radio station.
