On November 7, 2001, classrooms kicked off
participation in The Geo Zone by watching the program's live broadcast of
on WCET48, on public television stations across Ohio, and via videostreaming on this website.
Dr. John Francis, marine biologist, took questions
during the broadcast from students throughout Ohio by phone and email while he
talked about his observations of marine life, including a demo of the "Crittercam."
During the broadcast, educators and students from Cincinnati College Preparatory Academy
were featured in a video segment taped at the Newport Aquarium in Newport, Kentucky.
