Hispanic Heritage Month on CET
Hispanic Heritage Month – Sept. 15 through Oct. 15 – is a great opportunity to honor and commemorate the achievements, cultures and histories of those with Hispanic ancestry.
CET will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month through October with a variety of special programs including the following:

Danza Folklorica Escenica: El Sello Artistico de Rafael

This documentary traces the development of Mexican folklorico dance – designed to vibrantly display the cultural diversity of Mexico – with choreographer Rafael Zamarripa.

American Masters: Cachao: Uno Mass
Friday, Oct. 5, at 10pm on CET
The Grammy-winning bassist Israel “Cachao” Lopez died in Coral Gables, Florida in March 2008, at almost 90-years old. A maestro of legendary status on the world stage and ultimately considered one of the greatest Afro-Cuban musicians of all time, he had made his home in the United States for the past four decades.
