On July 23, Time Warner Cable informed southwestern Ohio’s public television stations, CET and ThinkTV16 & 14 and, that the Cincinnati and Dayton cable systems would make significant programming changes on August 25. Time Warner did not contact CET/ThinkTV prior to their decision.

Every day more and more families throughout our region lose their homes because they have lost their job, or can't afford unexpectedly larger mortgage payments. As unemployment increases, adjustable rate mortgages re-set and property values fall, homeowners at all ends of the economic spectrum find themselves facing the prospect of foreclosure. In 2008, there were 6,673 new foreclosure filings in Hamilton County, an increase of 6.3 percent over 2007. This rate of increase is more than double Ohio's statewide average.

The Boards of Trustees of ThinkTV (Greater Dayton Public Television) and CET (Greater Cincinnati Public Television) announced today that the organizations have formed a regional, non-profit public broadcasting and media corporation, Public Media Connect, Inc. David Fogarty has been named President of the regional organization and of both CET and ThinkTV.

CINCINNATI – CET will honor Dawn Bertsche for her volunteer work for the organization with the Charles W. Vaughan Award during the “Live on CET!” gala on May 7 at Music Hall.
Bertsche, a resident of Kenwood, is the CFO and Senior Vice President and Secretary at Multi-Color Corporation and is actively involved with CET and other Greater Cincinnati organizations.

CINCINNATI – CET is celebrating the success of the 42nd annual Action Auction, which brought in more than $208,000 this year.
''We are pleased that we were able to raise this money for CET,'' said Marty Humes, 2009 Action Auction chair. CINCINNATI – The studio is set for the 42nd annual CET Action Auction, which kicks off Wednesday, April 15 at 5 p.m. with the best bargains in town.
The annual auction, which is CET’s biggest fundraiser, is chaired by longtime CET volunteer and 2009 Enquirer Woman of the Year Marty Humes. Humes will open the auction, which boasts a wide range of items including: gift certificates, vacations, unique experiences, ticket offers, sports memorabilia, collectibles, antiques, furniture, wine and more.
