History Detectives’ return features Wes Cowan
When History Detectives returns to CET this month, it will be with a familiar face – Cincinnati’s own Wes Cowan.
Cowan, the owner of Cowan’s Auctions, holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology and specializes in historical Americana. In this 10th season premiere episode, he teams with research specialist Elyse Luray to investigate whether or not they’ve found rock’s Holy Grail, the long-lost electric Fender Stratocaster Bob Dylan plugged in at the ’65 Newport Folk Festival.
Each episode of History Detectives explores three historical mysteries through traditional research, the use of modern technologies and lots of legwork. The hosts of the program – Cowan and Luray as well as Gwendolyn Wright, Tukufu Zuberi and Eduardo Pagan – are experts in a wide variety of subjects including architecture, pop culture, collectibles, genealogy and more.
The season premiere of History Detectives airs at 9pm Tuesday, July 17, on CET.
