Sacred Spaces has been honored with Ohio Historic Preservation's prestigious Public Education and Awareness Award. Read more!

Sacred Spaces of Greater Cincinnati reveals the magnificent architecture and art preserved in our churches, temples and mosques. Videotaped for this first time in High Definition video, this one-hour documentary takes viewers on an extraordinary journey through some of the area's greatest architectural treasures.

Sacred Spaces of Greater Cincinnati presents the full spectrum and incredible diversity found inside dozens of historic and contemporary spaces, including over twenty religious buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Architects, scholars and clergy provide historical context on the broader social significance of these architectural wonders, from the earliest ancient and frontier sites, through the "Golden Age" of church and temple construction in the 1800s, urban migration of the 1900s to the architecture of new religious communities of the present.

Sacred Spaces of Greater Cincinnati airs on CET, Cincinnati¹s public television station:

Thursday, March 6 at 7:30pm
Saturday, March 8 at 4pm
Please consult the CET broadcast schedule for additional broadcast information.

A Sacred Spaces of Greater Cincinnati DVD will be available through CET Member Services, starting March 2.

This program was made possible through the generous contributions of Carl H. Lindner; The Ohio Humanities Council, a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities; The Josephine S.
