CET Express - Byron Janis & Maria Cooper Janis

Barbara Kellar talks with world-renowned, acclaimed pianist and Arthritis Ambassador, Byron Janis, about how he was able to overcome more than thirty years of suffering from psoriatic arthritis in his hands and wrists so that he could continue playing the piano. His wife, Maria Cooper Janis (the daughter of late great actor Gary Cooper), will be joining in this discussion as well.

During the interview, Mr. Janis will share stories about their life together and career. We will also learn why Mr. Janis and his wife have teamed up with the Arthritis Foundation to further educate and advocate for the fifty million people who live with arthritis.

The Arthritis Foundation of Cincinnati will be hosting an evening with Mr. and Mrs. Janis on Thursday, November 10, 2011. During the event, audience members will hear the story of how Mr. Janis reclaimed his piano mastery after a diagnosis of psoriatic arthritis at the height of his career. The evening will include a brief video of his story, an interview with Mr. Janis and his wife, Maria Cooper Janis, followed by a few special selections played by this world-renowned musician.
