FOCUS - The Alois Alzheimer Center
Opened in 1987, The Alois Alzheimer Center in Cincinnati was the first specialized facility dedicated to the care, treatment and study of Alzheimer’s disease in the United States. The center’s staff feels that despite the progressive nature of this disease and other dementias, a person’s independence, ability to function and quality of life can be improved through specially designed programs that create a sense of belonging, accomplishment, camaraderie, and fun.
On this episode of Focus, Dr. Susan D. Gilster, Marvin Knobloch, and Brook Wilson discuss how The Alois Alzheimer Center improves the lives of those people who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
