In the fall of 2012, Geoffrey Mearns became Northern Kentucky University’s fifth president, inheriting the university during a rise in enrollment and a growing impact on the community. During his tenure so far, the university has created The College of Informatics. Offering a 21st century perspective on the disciplines that have information at their core, The College of Informatics includes the departments of Communication, Computer Science, and Business Informatics.
On this episode of FOCUS, Geoffrey Mearns discusses his strategic plans for the future of the university, as well as the university's current challenges and accomplishments. Also joing him is Dr. Kevin Kirby, Dean of The College of Informatics, to talk about this exciting new venture for the university.
