Frederic Franklin, CBE

Barbara Kellar talks with Frederic Franklin, CBE, the world-renowned choreographer and ballet dancer.

Born in Liverpool in 1914, Mr. Franklin started his career just 17 years later at the Casino de Paris.  Later, he co-founded the Slavenska-Franklin Ballet and was the founder director of the National Ballet in Washington DC. Since then, he has worked with the American Ballet Theatre, Chicago Ballet and the Cincinnati Ballet. In late 2004, he was honored as a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE).
