Great Living Cincinnatians 2011 - Honorable Sandra S. Beckwith

Judge Sandra Beckwith, a University of Cincinnati graduate, has broken through numerous glass ceilings during her career in law. In 1987, she became the first woman elected to the Court of Common Pleas in the Division of Domestic Relations, and in 1989 became the first (and only to date) woman to serve on the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners. Beckwith also served on the federal bench, appointed to the U.S. District Court for Southern District of Ohio by George Bush in 1991.
