Local Productions Kick Off New Seasons This Month
New seasons of your favorite local productions are coming to your screens this month on CET and ThinkTV16! Discover the innovative work of artists, philanthropists, leaders and more in our region and beyond on The Art Show, SHOWCASE with Barbara Kellar and Brick by Brick. Each of these programs applies a unique, cultural lens to illuminate new perspectives of Southwest Ohio, carrying out our mission to inspire, educate and engage. Brick by Brick: Solutions For a Thriving Community – Season 2
Premieres Thursday, September 11, at 9pm on CET and ThinkTV16
Our award-winning and Emmy-nominated podcast and television show, Brick by Brick: Solutions for a Thriving Community, returns for a new season of investigating local and national responses to community issues. In Season 2, the team will investigate areas where health and the environment interconnect with housing and neighborhood, exploring responses to food and healthcare deserts, residential energy insecurity, property tax hikes and maternal and infant mortality rates. Our journalists, Ann Thompson, Hernz Laguerre Jr. and Emiko Moore, provide the context around these problems, while also highlighting potential solutions and limitations.
Brick by Brick podcast episodes will be released every two weeks on Wednesdays, starting September 3, and will be available to stream on our website or wherever you get your podcasts. The Art Show – Season 15

Join host Rodney Veal for a new season of exploring our region’s vibrant artists and arts communities on The Art Show. Each episode spotlights stories from the Southwest Ohio area as well as across the country. In our first episode you’ll learn about the sculptural art of Cincinnati-based artist Tom Tsuchiya, dive into the classical Indian art form of Bharatanatyam with Sujatha Srinivasan and witness technological themes in the paintings of Michael Kagan. Season 18 kicks off with guest Michael Patterson, a Grammy and Emmy-winning composer and musician. This episode features a thoughtful conversation about his journey in music and the creative forces behind his acclaimed work, followed by an exclusive performance. Then, stay tuned for “Showcase Encore Presentations” — a new collection of past episodes we’ll be airing that are as impactful today as when they first premiered.
