Stephanie’s Top 10 of 2023 Countdown!

Stephanie’s Top 10 of 2023 Countdown!

Recipes are like children – it’s impossible to pick a favorite! But we put Stephanie, host of The Baking Journal, to task and she spilled the tea on her Top 10. You can stream the video and find all of her recipes over on our YouTube channel, but here’s what she had to say…

Number 10: Stephanie picked her Make Your Own Butter video because, seriously, who knew it was so easy? You don’t even need a churn!

Number 9: She picked a pantry staple – Easy-to-Make Brown Sugar – because knowing how to make this from scratch is saving her those late-night grocery runs for brown sugar. Just keep a jar of molasses on hand!

Number 8: Stephanie’s Irish Soda Bread video was one of our first “seasonal” videos and people really loved it! It’s quick, easy, delicious and perhaps a little bit lucky.

Number 7: Lemon Blueberry Bundt Cake took the number seven spot because it combines two amazing flavors with a recipe that is just too adorable. Stephanie said, “Honestly just being able to describe a recipe using words like crown and jewels is enough for me!”

Number 6: This is the first short to make the list – Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes! These little treats are cute in the fall, but they make the perfect dessert for you and your family all year long, especially if you stock up on pumpkin before the season ends.

Number 5: This spot goes to Pretty Peach Hand Pies because they are tasty, but also just absolutely adorable.

Number 4: As we crest the top three, Stephanie picked her Chocolate Chip Cookies for spot number four. These are a classic, but her recipe makes them beautiful and a little less sweet than the recipe you’ve probably been using from the back of the Toll House bag.

Number 3: The first recipe in the top three is also Stephanie’s first LIVE video! Her Making Quesadillas Live video wasn’t a typical recipe, but she had her very first fan photo op during this livestream and it was super cool!

Number 2: The 2023 runner up is her Pull Apart Bread Wreath. This recipe is savory and perfect for a party! Stephanie added, “When my husband loves it, I know it’s going to be a winner.”

Number 1: And to round out the countdown, the recipe Stephanie picked as her top one for 2023 is her Homemade Apple Pie! It really doesn’t get any better than a warm, comforting apple pie made completely from scratch. This recipe is timeless and delicious. Be sure to give it a try!

There are a few recipes we couldn’t believe didn’t make the list – Cherry Walnut Biscotti, Homemade English Muffins, Shortbread Cookies, Strawberry Basil Bars… we could go on and on! Check out The Baking Journal for a relaxing, charmingly sweet adventure through some fantastic recipes:
