Stephanie’s Top 10 of 2024 Countdown!

Choosing a favorite recipe is like choosing a favorite child, but we challenged Stephanie, the host of The Baking Journal, to share her Top 10 picks from 2024 anyway and she didn’t hold back! Number 10: Stephanie chose the Mini Chocolate Cake. Not only is it a great recipe, but the video features some wonderful jazzy background music!

Number 9: She picked a #short – Apple Slices on the Go! This fun video was inspired by Stephanie’s friend Jen, who always has an apple with her on business trips.

Number 8: Stephanie’s Bloody Marys took this spot! Veggies, shrimp, vodka – need we say more?

Number 7: Strawberry Short Cake took the number seven spot. Mixing freshly sliced strawberries into that strawberry basil compote put this recipe into the Top 10.

Number 6: Another #short makes the list – Gift Wrapping Bread. Gift wrapping has always been Stephanie’s thing and this one is perfectly simple, yet so charming!

Number 5: This spot goes to the Best Cherry Pie! It’s beautiful, it’s delicious, and how could you not love a pie dough bow? It’s just delightful.

Number 4: To kick off the semi-finals, we have the Tea Cup Floral Arrangement – Stephanie loves to make these and gift them to people.

Number 3: The first recipe in the top three is Frosted Circus Animals. These precious bite-sized snacks are fun, tasty, adorable and perfect all year long.

Number 2: The 2024 runner up is the Tiny Mic Session with the America’s Test Kitchen Chefs Julia and Bridget. We got to know the chefs a little better and Big Bird chose Stephanie as his favorite PBS chef.

Number 1: And to, round out the countdown, the video Stephanie picked as her personal favorite video from 2024 is… Cinnamon Rolls from Scratch! These sweet treats are soft, fluffy and delicious – totally deserving of the number one spot!

We were surprised to see a few recipes didn’t make the cut — Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes, Roasted Garlic and Herb Bread, Lemon Poppyseed Muffins… the list goes on!
